In the center of Lisbon, Connecticut, sets a 200 year old picturesque house, bounded by native cedars and a quaint New England stone wall on the east. The house, which was built by Revolutionary War veteran Stephen Branch around 1790, is a bed and breakfast operated by innkeepers Ethel and Tom Bosse.

The inn, which has five working fireplaces, has two guest rooms available.

*The Hannah Room is tastefully decorated with a queen-size rice bed with full canopy, and has a private bath, bathrobes, TV, VCR, seasonal air conditioning, and a fireplace (This original working fireplace is equipped with a realistic electric fire log).

*The Sabina Room is a beautifully stenciled room having a four poster queen-sized rice bed, private bath, bathrobes, TV, VCR, and seasonal air conditioning.

Two common rooms are available to guests. Adjacent to the upstairs bedrooms is the Susan Sitting and Reading Room and features a pristine "Good Morning Staircase", while on the lower level is the Lovisa Room, which has its own fireplace, and is tastefully decorated with antiques, reproductions and adaptions. Both rooms together, with the outside brick patio, are ideal places to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

A full breakfast is served in the Keeping Room with its large working fireplace, but a continental breakfast is available for those keeping an early schedule.

Nearby attractions are numerous. We're a few short miles from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. Other nearby attractions are Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, The Nautilus Museum, The Connecticut Wine Trail, The John Bishop House Museum, Fort Trumbull, The Essex Steam Train, The U.S. Coast Guard Academy Museum, and for the golfers, neighboring Griswold offers the 18 hole River Ridge Golf Course. In addition, our location offers easy access to the "Quiet Corner".

Prices are per night double occupancy and include a gourmet breakfast for two at 9AM, or earlier by arrangement..

In Season Rates: May 1st through Oct. 31st inclusive:

*Hannah Room: $145 plus tax, weekends and holidays
$100 plus tax, midweek
*Sabina Room: $125 plus tax, weekends and holidays
$100 plus tax, midweek

Off Season Rates: Nov. 1st through April 30th inclusive:

* Hannah Room: $145 plus tax, holidays and holiday weekends only
$100 plus tax, all other days
*Sabina Room: $125 plus tax, holidays and holiday weekends only

From South: Take Exit 83A off of I395. Turn left at bottom of ramp. Go up route 169 for 1.2 miles. Take right onto Newent Road (Route 138). House is one quarter mile up on left at 34 Newent Road. Sign is on mailbox.

From North: Take Exit 84 off of I395 toward Jewett City. Go North on Route 12 for .7 miles to traffic light. Take left onto Newent Road (Route 138). Go for 1.7 miles up the hill. We are on the right at 34 Newent Road. Sign is on mailbox.
